The individual will be responsible assembly, process monitoring and measurement of devices in support of production and process development. Engineering Technician
Job Description:
This process engineering technician position is available at MACOM's Morgan Hill assembly facility. The individual will be responsible assembly, process monitoring and measurement of devices in support of production and process development. On-the-job training and career growth opportunities will be provided.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Guide work through the assembly line and instruct operators as indicated per travelers, drawings or work instructions.
- Perform equipment setups and run engineering products.
- Perform optical inspections of products to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Program and operate metrology systems.
- With instruction execute process DOE’s.
- Tabulate and analyze process data.
- Enter data into log files for appropriate lot and data tracking.
- Provide feedback to engineering teams on equipment, product or process issues/improvements.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent.
- Between 0-3 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of IC assembly equipment such as die attach and wire bonders.
- Experience in hand soldering and manually placing components.
- Understanding of IPC Standards.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and plotting.
- Must be able to follow travelers and work instructions as well as understand basics of assembly drawings.
- Take verbal requests from Engineers.
- Experience using microscopes to inspect products.
- Excellent hands-on cleanroom skills and demonstrated ability to carry out defined tasks independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a larger team.
- Due to ITAR regulations, candidate must be a US Person.
