GENERAL SUMMARY
Assists the Investment Officer with the daily banking operations for the Macomb County bank accounts and investments, in an efficient and timely manner. Assists other departments with bank related items. Tracks and reconciles cash, transfer of monies and various accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reconciles cash and transfer of monies from one financial institution to another and tracks monies received in the bank.
Responds to bank services needs or inquiries from other departments.
Reconciles money brought in by the cashiers to the delinquent tax system and reconciles online payments received via ACH into the bank.
Creates the revenue voucher to disperse the money to the correct accounts in Workday or other operating system.
Processes corrections in the delinquent tax system, including voiding or editing payments.
Prepares journal entries and processes overpayments.
Performs monthly reconciling of the various delinquent tax accounts, by year, to the County accounting system’s general ledger activity.
Performs monthly reconciling of various entity accounts to the County Accounting System’s general ledger activity.
Performs related work as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a directly related field from an accredited college or university
- One (1) to three (3) years of finance, investment, or accounting related experience
