Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team here at Macomb Medical Clinic, P.C. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and various medical practices, including medication administration and emergency medicine.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications as directed, including inhalation therapies.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Document patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in electronic health records.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with internal medicine and hospital medicine teams to facilitate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and various medical practices.
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments, particularly in emergency medicine situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
