As a Medical Assistant, you play a direct role in providing the highest standard of care to our patients each day, by serving our patients in a safe environment promoting healthy and pain free lives. You will work with the leadership team of your facility to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment for our staff and patients. You will perform a variety of tasks to assist in the quality and compassionate care provided to our patients. These duties include but are not limited to: greeting and escorting patient to exam/ procedure rooms, taking accurate medical histories, measuring and recording vital signs; preparing patients for examination/procedure; and assisting physician during the exam/procedure. Applicant will demonstrate clinical competence as a Medical Assistant.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operation of C-Arm (Flouroscopy Machine)
- Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e. blood pressure, height, weight, O2, respiration, pulse) correctly
- Process recorded vitals to EMR system.
- Will be required to draw blood or other specimens from patients for analysis.
- IV starts for Anesthesia days and specific procedures.
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination and treatment of patients.
- Maintenance, organization and flow of the Procedure Area.
- Works as part of the intake team to ensure clients are seen promptly.
- Assists the medical doctor with clients/patients throughout the process including but not limited to pre-operative and post-operative related to interventional pain management procedure, with the use of ultrasound and/or fluoroscopy guidance.
- Ensures compliance with all Federal and State regulations, and company policies.
- Assists in daily tasks including but not limited to: checking patients into appointments, checking appointments out, receiving and processing patient referrals, verifying health insurances, and maintaining an open line of communication with our referring sources and affiliates.
- Assists in the workflow of clinics including but not limited to: registration, appointment scheduling, checking daily email, chart prepping, filing/scanning, voicemails, stocking, inventory and addressing patient concerns.
- Assist in monitoring basic clinic supplies to stock rooms and procedure area.
- Ensure workflow is efficient and patient rooms turn over between visits and assist medical provider with direct patient care.
- Prepare injection trays for procedures and assist where needed.
- When needed, accompany medical provider to patient room to document treatment plans and interact directly with patients.
- Performs a variety of other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant Program (CMA/RMA )
- High School Diploma

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform he essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This is a demanding position and requires the use of leaded aprons for safety with operating the fluoroscopy machine. While preforming the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit, reach, feel, handle, see and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or handle or move up to 50lbs.
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am- 5pm (hours may fluctuate based on scheduled procedures and doctor's availability)

Pay: From $18 per hour (negotiable with experience)

CMA/RMA or Degree in Medical Assistant Studies or related field preferred; High School Diploma or Equivalent; 5 years Previous experience in medical assistance or related field in pain management is preferred. Previous C-Arm experience a must.
