What are the responsibilities and job description for the Neighborhood Program Director position at Macon-Bibb County Government?
The Neighborhood Program Director will create and manage a series of neighborhood planning boards for disadvantaged areas of Macon-Bibb County and act as a liaison between these groups and the Macon-Bibb County Administration. In addition to serving these boards, the director will coordinate and execute a program of community clean ups and targeted infrastructure improvements county wide.
- Deliver all projects and duties assigned by and at the direction of the Director of Planning and Public Spaces.
- Create a series of Main Street style neighborhood boards in key neighborhoods within Macon-Bibb County
- Work with Macon-Bibb departments and community agencies to develop a coordinated plan of community clean-ups, code enforcement sweeps, right of way clearings, sidewalk repairs, and other necessary improvements.
- Act as liaison between community groups and the Mayor’s Office
- Develop with neighborhood groups plans of redevelopment building off the Main Street four-point approach.
