TITLE: MICM – Facilities Assistant
REPORTS TO: Director of Campus Operations
STATUS: Non-exempt; Temporary, approximately June 2 – August 11 (negotiable)
Full-time, One day off per week, except Sundays
Summary
Facilities Assistant will assist the Director of Campus Operations to prepare and maintain the buildings of Madeline Island Chamber Music and the properties it rents.
Responsibilities And Essential Functions
Age Minimum age of 18 years
Experience Facilities or housekeeping experience preferred. Will be willing to train.
Skills and Abilities Ability to manage your time efficiently. Work well unsupervised. Handle basic maintenance and cleaning. Willingness to learn, flexible and adaptable. Hard worker. Be able to connect with teenagers a plus.
Physical Demands Occasional lifting, approximately 25 lbs., standing up to 6 hours, sitting, walking, climbing, stairs, stooping, bending, kneeling.

Responsibilities And Essential Functions
- Assist with the preparation of all campus buildings (Edwards, Hulings, and Bristol Houses; Johnston House; Mary Lange Administrative Center; practice facilities; and Clubhouse) for arrival of staff and students
- Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained, including regular cleaning, garbage removal, and laundry
- Manage turnover of staff housing each week and student housing between programs
- Assist production and operations staff with event setup and tear down
- Basic maintenance of climate control, electric, plumbing, and carpentry systems
- Notify the Director of Campus Operations of necessary repairs
- Compliance with COVID-19 policies
- Other duties as assigned
