POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position: General Ledger Accountant
Department: Community Management Division
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent industry experience.

Requirements:
Five years previous general ledger accounting and financial reporting experience is required, preferably in the property management industry.
Experienced in general ledger accounting.
Experience with A/P transaction process.
Experience with A/R transaction process.
Able to manage multiple entities, meet tight deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
Experienced in month end close process.
Experienced in bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Experienced in budget development and implementation.
Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Must be Technologically literate.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Good written and verbal communication skills.
AppFolio software experience preferred but not required.
Understanding of, or experience in, the Community Association Management Industry, preferred but not required.
Experience working in an Accounting Shared Services Center environment, preferred but not required. G/L Accountant JD (8/2023) 2 Job Responsibilities:
Month-end closing and financial statement preparation for multiple entities (Non'Profit Corporations) with varying attributes. Process and review monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Develop and enter accruals, amortization, adjustments, and reclassifications.
Budget development assistance and administration
Perform Year End close.
Support Community Association Managers and Association Board of Directors (BOD) as requested.
Work with supporting departments (Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P) on issue resolution
Occasional work on weekends may be required.
Other duties as assigned.
Compensation: W-2 starting salary of no less than $65,000 a year for the right candidate, in addition to company-paid medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid vacation, and 401K match.
