- Process Engineering: Plan, manage, and improve production methods and processes in the metal stamping press department.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams representing manufacturing engineering at every stage of the design and development process.
- Problem Solving: Apply problem-solving skills and program management techniques to optimize performance.
- Design and Development: Design and develop stamping processes that meet or exceed quality standards.
- Equipment Specification: Specify forming and stamping equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Quality Systems: Implement quality systems procedures to maintain high standards.
- Tooling and Fixtures: Design and develop departmental tooling, fixtures, and work aids.
- Issue Resolution: Analyze and resolve issues related to tooling, processing, assembly, and sequencing.
- Corrective Actions: Initiate corrective actions, including modifying plant tooling and machine programming.
- Problem Resolution Teams: Participate in problem resolution teams to drive collaborative solutions.
- Supplier Quotations: Develop specifications and analyze supplier quotations for new production equipment.
- Operations Standards: Implement changes or monitor operations standards to ensure compliance.
- Tooling and Capital Equipment: Assist in designing, installing, and debugging tooling and capital equipment.
- Daily Troubleshooting: Daily troubleshooting of assembly and press shop problems to support production.
- Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities to reduce costs (scrap, rework, cycle time, etc.) through continuous improvement.
