Position Summary :
The SVP Mortgage Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee both retail and wholesale operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.
Pay Disclosure : The starting base salary range for this position is $150,000 annually. The actual base is dependent on many factors such as : work experience, business needs, market demands, and other compensation components. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Job Location : Hybrid schedule. Work in office located in Santa Ana, CA 3 to 4 days per week. Remote from home 1 to 2 days per week.
Responsibilities :
Work with Executive team to achieve business production, efficiency and financial targets while ensuring process excellence and loan quality.
Evaluate, identify and implement process improvement initiatives aligned to our key values.
ttract and motivate the team to achieve management business objectives while maintaining accountability and staffing to capacity.
Quickly and effectively respond to all market changes.
Extensive knowledge of Agency requirements (Client / FHLMC / FHA / VA / Bonds).
Establish, track and maintain SLAs through interaction with operations and sales team.
Strong technical expertise for reporting and workflow development.
udit and write operational P&Ps as needed.
Must Haves :
Minimum 10 years in Executive Level Operations leadership role working for an Independent Mortgage Banker overseeing all facets of mortgage operations.
MUST be Mortgage Operations : This means processing, underwriting, funding, closing teams. Not interested in Mortgage Sales.
Experience in both Wholesale and Retail environment.
Experience in Joint Venture channels preferred.
Proven leadership abilities and a broad and deep understanding of the of the federal regulations and laws governing the mortgage business.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Requires team player mentality, willingness to work in a fast paced environment while exhibiting our Kind Culture.
