Macquarie Capital's Infrastructure Energy & Capital team makes principal equity investments from Macquarie's balance sheet across the full range of energy transition assets with a focus on both the electron value chain (renewables, energy storage, distributed energy and flexible power) and the molecule value chain (including gas / LNG, hydrogen and ammonia, bio-fuels and CCUS).

What role will you play?

You will be responsible for the origination and execution of investment activities in the energy transition space, which will include investments into existing businesses, asset development and construction, and business creation and partnership opportunities. You will have extensive access to the C-suite and other senior leaders throughout the target client base, engaging in strategic dialogues to identify opportunities for Macquarie to deliver differentiating and high value solutions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop and mentor the junior team members.
Salary range for this position : $290,000 - $360,000 / Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. - 10 years of relevant experience investing in the energy sector, ideally with experience in private equity, corporate or trading house
- A leading reputation in the market and a proven track record of identifying investment opportunities in both development and greenfield projects, as well as operating companies and platforms
- A ready rolodex of relevant relationships that will enable strategic dialogue with C-suite executive at potential and current clients, in order to generate investment opportunities
- Proven ability to develop, mobilize and leverage internal networks and product partnerships to develop innovative solutions and maximize value
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and people skills to ensure constructive dialogue and positive cooperation both internally and externally.
