Overnight Delivery Driver, Job Description

Macrina Bakery is looking for candidates to fill our Overnight Delivery Driver position. **THIS IS AN OVERNIGHT POSITION.**

Most of the shifts start at 12am or 1am and finish at 8am or 9am each day depending on the route (5 days a week, 40 hours plus overtime available). We deliver 364 days a year, so ability to work weekends and holidays is required.

Due to the amount of trust drivers need to do their jobs, candidates must agree to a background check if offered the position.

Delivery Driver Job Responsibilities

• Deliver orders to our wholesale customers around the Puget Sound Area on-time while practicing safe driving habits in our high roof delivery vans (Ford Transit, E - Transit, and Mercedes - Benz Sprinter).
• Help pack customer orders according to invoice.
• Load delivery vans with large volumes of baked goods (bags & boxes).
• Adhere to all food safety requirements on the bakery floor as well as for the safe handling of ready-to-eat foods at all times.
• Complete basic cleaning of company vehicles at the end of the day (sweep, mop, organize tools, etc.).
• Accurately fill out route logs to record delivery times.
• Check-in with managers and offer to fix any issues at end of route.

Delivery Driver Job Requirements

• Washington State Drivers License (Required)
• Ability to MOVE and WORK QUICKLY in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 35 to 40 lbs. consistently and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Drivers must have a valid Washington State driver’s license, be 21 or older, and have a relatively clean driving record.
• Candidates must agree to a background check if offered the position.
• Flexibility with scheduling (days off are NOT set and we work weekends.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work unsupervised, as well as part of a team.
• Energetic, positive, and task oriented.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Current Food Handler's Permit or the ability to get one.
• The months of November and December are extremely busy and vacation time is not approved during these months.
• Able to remove all exposed piercings while at the bakery.

Compensation

Starting Wage $23.50-$23.50 per hour

Wage Range: $23.50-$30.25 per hour

*First raise opportunity at 3 months, then every 6 months.
