About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for leading procurement & commercial strategy, managing supplier relationships and mobilisations, to support the company objectives. You will collaborate with various internal teams, including operations and finance, as well as external stakeholders.
The role is a hybrid working arrangement based in Atlanta, Georgia, with some travel requirements to Client offices.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leadership of the procurement & commercial function in the US.
- Strategic procurement, including sourcing, selecting and negotiating with suppliers, SRM, developing our preferred supplier programme, spend analysis etc.
- Commercial strategy & Contract mgt. – Lead tenders/RfX, pricing, benchmarking, savings, contract formation, review & negotiations, change control, CLM, budget control, Scope & Specification efficiencies etc.
- Lead the Supply chain mobilisation, stabilisation & transformation phases of a new account life cycle.
- Supplier on-boarding via our procurement platform. Liaising with other gateway owners to progress i.e. operations, QHSE and finance teams.
- Support ethical and sustainable procurement including social value, supplier diversity, tackling modern slavery, etc.
- Supply chain governance, risk and compliance, apply Macro SCM playbook/manual processes and procedures.
- Manage the contract register, supplier directory and SharePoint portal.
- Draft procurement and contractual documents.
- Monitor, review and report supplier performance statistics.
- Maintain existing templates, workflows and user profiles.
- Amend process maps, activity guides and upload templates as directed by the team.
- Work closely with procurement and cross functional teams.
- Stay updated on best practices and regulations within the industry.
- Maintain a network of industry contacts for supplier information.
- Manage and ensure the communication of SCM best practices to the wider business.
About You
- You are an articulate and self-motivated Procurement and Commercial Management professional with significant subject matter expertise and experience specifically within the US Facility Management (FM) arena. A related degree qualification is a strong advantage.
- Stakeholder management and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) skills with the ability to build lasting client & vendor relationships are essential for the role.
- A strong supplier network within the facilities marketplace is a strong advantage, as is experience in ESG initiatives.
- An FM background with a technical understanding of hard and soft services & assets is an advantage.
- You have strong commercial acumen and training or experience in contract law and/or contract formulation is an advantage.
- You are digitally savvy with advanced skills in Procurement software, Microsoft Excel and proficiency in the MS office suite including Power Point, sharepoint, Outlook etc. Experience with PowerBI and & CAFM is a strong advantage.
- A CIPS/APICS qualification or equivalent training is desirable.
- You are diligent and analytical with good organisation, planning and team leadership skills.
- You have good negotiation skills, have excellent written and oral communication and have good presentation skills.
- You are a team player with ability to work autonomously and remotely and flexibly, and you embrace multiculturism & diversity.
