Key Responsibilities:
- Load trucks with dry fertilizer, utilizing approved tools and methods.
- Transfer liquid fertilizer, operating pumps, valves, piping, and automation systems.
- Perform general equipment maintenance using appropriate tools.
- Follow guidelines for ascending and descending ladders on barges, trucks, towers, and platforms.
- Maintain facility and grounds through proper housekeeping methods.
- Assist with in-house projects and mechanical repairs.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Technical skills such as electrical/welding/troubleshooting/automation preferred.
- Experience in a fertilizer terminal is a plus.
- Wear company-supplied required safety gear: hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe or sturdy leather boots.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, deal with heights and around water while following respiratory and fall protection guidelines and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to undergo a drug test and background check.
- Flexibility to work overtime (some nights and weekends) as required. Typical working hours are Monday-Friday 6:30am to 4:30pm.
