What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coating Machine Operator I - 2nd Shift position at Mactac North America?
The Coating Operator I assists with the coating and/or laminating of material that meets coating run order requirements. Performs daily assignments and tasks in Coating department.
•Helps Level 2 and 3 Coating Operators set up and prepare material for processing.
•Places roll of material onto feed spindle of machine.
•Threads end through feed and guides material into dipping vat or onto transfer roll and through drying oven and attaches it to rewind spindle.
•Fills vat with adhesive solution.
•Monitors and adjusts coating line during operation.
•Reports any non-conformities as material is processed.
•Performs basic machine maintenance and PM's.
•Cleans work areas.
•Supports other departmental activities
•Other related responsibilities as directed by supervisor.

•Time Management: Demonstrated effective time management skills to stay focused, prioritize tasks, and maintain productivity throughout the entire shift.
•Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Education and/or Experience
•High School Diploma or GED is required.
•One to three months' related experience or training preferred.
•Must have demonstrated knowledge of required machine station(s) prior to obtaining operator status.
•Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems in the department.
Safety
•Follow all EHS standards and regulations, facility work rules, and contribute to the safety of all employees, visitors, and contractors.
•Pre-start lift safety checklists.
•Attend all safety training and meetings.
•Contribute to the Hazard ID program.
Work Environment
This position is in the production facility. Appropriate clothing, eye and foot protection are mandatory, and hearing protection is required in designated areas.
•Constant standing, walking, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
•Frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
•Required to stand for extended periods without sitting, as well as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, bending, lifting, handling, grasping, and feeling.
