What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator Coating 2nd Shift position at Mactac North America?
Machine Operator Position Summary:
This position is responsible for operating a machine to ensure efficient equipment operation and production of high-quality products.
Second Shift 2:00 pm -10:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Work safely utilizing a working knowledge of LOTO, PPE, and other safe work practices
- Perform general set-up of machines
- Prepare materials for production process
- Load and unload material from machine
- Assist in monitoring operation of machine
- Track and label finished products manually and electronically
- Communicate effectively with helpers, supervisors, and maintenance to resolve issues
- Set priorities to match the importance of job assignments
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and teams
Physical Requirements:
Lifting, carrying, and moving up to 50 lbs., Standing up to 8 hours a day, twisting, bending, squatting, and varying temperatures
Education:
Minimum High School diploma or GED
Experience:
Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
This role requires basic computer proficiencies, multi-task effectively, sharp attention to detail, a desire to work in a collaborative team atmosphere, and the ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
