SUMMARY
Responsible to act in accordance with the policies set forth in the Macuch Steel Employee Handbook. Direct, manage and coordinate logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service activities. Lead and direct strategic planning for logistics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program operational and personnel policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain transportation system that ensures business needs are met
- Responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and off-spec material, and reduce aging material
- Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles
- Oversee the fleet safety program for Macuch Steel Products and its affiliates
- Ensure Macuch Steel Products and its affiliates are in compliance with laws and regulations regarding transportation. Resolve any legal issues pertaining to transportation/distribution
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
- Participate in personnel development at all levels through performance management, providing opportunity for high performers
- Perform other related duties as required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- 5 years’ experience in logistics environment;
- Experience with DOT regulations;
- MS Office experience or training
