Mad For Chicken is best known for its Korean style fried chicken and other Korean inspired dishes. We are relentlessly focused on the quality of our food and service excellence – we strive to keep our menu fresh, consisting mainly of made from scratch ingredients. Our restaurants are known for their distinctive rustic designs and comfortable ambiance making them a destination for groups of all sizes. Mad For Chicken was established in 2005 and began franchising in 2020 to fulfill its mission to create remarkable experiences and get everyone “MAD” for our chicken.
Position Overview:
Seeking engaging and high-energy Servers adept at providing individualized guest-dining experiences.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Guest Satisfaction
· - anticipating, delivering, and exceeding guests’ expectations
· - communicating with guests clearly, patiently, and courteously
· - performing calmly and effectively under pressure
· - guiding guests through their dining experience, including taking orders and serving food and beverages
· - understanding the menu and preparation techniques to answer any food preparation questions
· - addressing/resolving guest issues; escalating issues to managers in a timely manner
Service
· - helping assemble food and beverage orders as necessary to maintain a timely flow from order to delivery (dine-in or takeout)
· - preparing and serving hot and cold beverages
· - presenting / serving food and beverages in a prompt and efficient manner
· - performing quality control on orders for completeness, organization, and cleanliness
· - executing proper sanitation practices and safety procedures
· - keeping kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
· - preparing dining area by setting tables with condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils
· - removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs
· - performing varied duties to maintain orderly and clean stations, tables, counters, and floors
· - restocking supplies and beverages as necessary
· - protecting establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
Sales
· - accurately accounting for all guest checks issued
· - accurately recording and accounting for all items ordered and served
· - accepting/processing payments from guests
· - accurately accounting for and balancing all sales and receipts
Qualifications:
- Work authorization required
- Minimum 2 years of experience at a full-service restaurant
- Able to effectivel y service a 4-6 table station
- Able to stand and walk for entire shift
- Able to transport food to service a party of 4 in a single trip
- Able to safely transport food from kitchen to guest table over uneven surfaces
- Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable and motivated with a strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Understanding of food safety procedures. Food Handler’s Certification a plus
