PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Physician Biller is responsible for submitting claims to insurance companies. They will be responsible for entering account information, scanning medical records, verifying insurance eligibility, posting charges and verifying correct claims prior to submission.
The Physician Biller is responsible for follow-up on unpaid claims as well as underpaid/incorrectly paid claims. Reviews and posts insurance and cash payments to the accounts. Responsible for informing and keeping administration braised to the issues, denials, and any feedback etc.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Broad knowledge of health insurance, hospital billing and cash posting
- One year of related experience in the healthcare industry
Wages based upon prior related experience.
