At Mad Science, were passionate about delivering excellent Childrens STEM programming in the Milwaukee, Northern Illinois and Detroit markets. We realize we wouldnt be a leader in our field without our successful Operations Team. We are currently looking to expand our Operations team and add a Sales and Service specialist.
A "Sales and Service Specialist" is a hybrid role combining elements of sales and customer service, where the primary responsibility is to engage with customers, understand their needs, recommend suitable services, while also providing support they may have throughout the sales process and beyond. A large portion of your day will be spent on the phone engaging with our customers.
Were seeking a quick learner who has strong listening and negotiating skills as well as an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way.
Responsibilities :
Engage with prospective clients mainly through the phone and less frequently through Zoom and email.
Present and explain our products or services effectively.
Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients.
Collaborate with the entire Operations team to develop market strategies.
Meet or exceed sales targets.
Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up.
Perform all administrative duties related to the sale.
Requirements :
Proven experience in sales, customer service, or related field.
Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of the company and its products, research consumer needs, and identify how our solutions can address those needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
Generate leads and grow existing relationships by maintaining an accurate, detailed client book for an active, repeat customer base
Make cold calls or perform warm outreach, using outside-the-box thinking to develop new and unique sales tactics
The position is NOT remote
An added bonus would be experience in a camp, school or childcare setting.
Must have valid driver's license and personal vehicle
Must pass background check

Pay Scale :
18 - $20 per hour; with bonuses the target pay is up to $24 per hour
