Job Summary:
As a Mad Scientist, you will lead students through an inquiry-based discovery method involving instructor demonstrations, hands-on activities, and amazing take-home projects that illustrate how science affects the world around us.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1-hour after-school science enrichment programs using a pre-set, easy-to-understand curriculum.
- Each session is high-energy, part entertainment, part education, through a hands-on after-school class that meets for one hour each week for 6 or 8 weeks.
Schedule and Pay:
- You will be scheduled on programs close to home two or more afternoons per week.
- Mileage reimbursement policy for any program over 25 miles round trip.
- $40 per 1.5-hour program.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children.
- A reliable car.
- A fun and outgoing personality.
- Must be comfortable undergoing a background check.
- Availability of 2 or more afternoons per week between 2:30-5:30 PM.
Compensation:
$40.00 per hour
