Role Summary:
The Financial Performance Strategist will lead the financial planning and analysis function for our core business and Marketplace areas, driving financial performance and strategic insights to support key business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage comprehensive financial models to forecast and track financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with sales, buying, and finance teams to achieve strategic growth and development objectives.
- Provide analytical, accounting, and reporting support to the accounting group, including monthly fluctuation explanations of actuals vs. plan/forecast.
- Develop and implement effective FP&A tools and systems to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy for the division.
- Support ad-hoc projects and analyses as needed, leveraging expertise in financial planning and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategy, preferably within the retail industry.
- Proven ability to translate complex financial situations into clear and concise conclusions and communication tools.
- Expertise in Excel, with ability to maintain and update complex financial modeling and build detailed models from scratch.
- Strong analytical skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Business acumen, incorporating market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
