About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Leader to drive financial performance, provide strategic insights, and support key business decisions as the Director of Merchandise Planning for our core business and Marketplace areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create comprehensive financial models to forecast and track financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Oversee divisional sales, gross margin, and inventory projections, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
- Work cross-functionally with sales, buying, and finance teams to achieve strategic growth and development objectives.
- Develop detailed financial reports and analyses, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure data accuracy and quality, supporting informed decision-making.
- Implement effective FP&A tools and systems to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy for the division.
- Support ad-hoc projects and analyses as needed, leveraging expertise in financial planning and analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategy, preferably within the retail industry.
- Proven ability to translate complex financial situations into clear and concise conclusions and communication tools.
- Expertise in Excel, with ability to maintain and update complex financial modeling and build detailed models from scratch.
- Strong analytical skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Business acumen, incorporating market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics.
