What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Captain position at Maddalena's Catering?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Event Oversight: Supervise all banquet functions, including weddings, corporate meetings, parties, and other events.
- Team Management: Lead and direct the banquet staff, including servers, , and bussers. Ensure that all team members are trained and aware of their duties for the event.
- Guest Interaction: Greet guests, respond to any special requests, and ensure the guests' experience is seamless and positive.
- Set-up & Breakdown: Oversee the setup of the event space, ensuring that tables, chairs, linens, and decorations are in place. After the event, ensure that everything is cleaned and stored properly.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of service during the event, ensuring that food and drinks are served in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communication: Serve as the point of contact between the kitchen, servers, and event hosts to ensure smooth service.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that may arise before, during, or after the event, including guest complaints or logistical problems.
