What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter position at Madden Industrial Craftsman?
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Lead Installer/Carpenter for a small awning company located in SW Portland. The person in this position will be responsible for leading a team installing awnings at residential and commercial sites.
- PAY: $25-$30/hr
- Schedule: M-F 7am-3pm
LEAD INSTALLER/CARPENTER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install awnings in accordance with common industry practices.
- Lead crew of installers by example and direction on the job site.
- Interact with customers and clients and representing the company
- Utilize hand and power tools.
- Operate a company vehicle.
- Assist with shop work as required.
LEAD INSTALLER/CARPENTER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicants should have a at least 3-4 years experience in construction or installation work.
- Preferably in awning installation, but, willing to train the right person.
- Ability to work as part of a team and lead a positive work environment.
- Need to be able to work from ladders and lifts.
- Be comfortable with heights.
- Job requires heavy lifting (100 lbs at times), standing on feet all day, bending, and stooping.
- Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
- Knowledge on common attachment methods (Epoxy, wedge anchors, etc).
- Must have valid driver's license and be insurable to drive a company vehicle.
- Should have own basic hand tools.
