Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an Installer/Carpenter Helper for a small awning company located in SW Portland. The person in this position will be a part of a team installing awnings at residential and commercial sites.
PAY: $20-$30/hr

INSTALLER/CARPENTER HELPER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform site assessments.
Install awnings in accordance with common industry practices.
Utilize hand and power tools.
Operate a company vehicle.
Assist with shop work as required.
INSTALLER/CARPENTER HELPER QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should have a minimum of 1-2 yrs experience in construction or installation work.
Preferably in awning installation, but, willing to train the right person.
Ability to work as part of a team, leadership experience a plus.
Need to be able to work from ladders and lifts.
Be comfortable with heights.
Job requires heavy lifting (100 lbs at times), standing on feet all day, bending, and stooping.
Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
Knowledge on common attachment methods (Epoxy, wedge anchors, etc).
Must have valid driver's license and be insurable to drive a company vehicle.
Should have own basic hand tools.
