Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a temporary Industrial Labor position with a Heavy Industrial Conveyor Belt Company located in Eugene, OR. The successful candidate will support in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heavy industrial conveyor systems. Working under the guidance of experienced technicians, this role involves manual labor, assisting in the installation and assembly of conveyor belts, preparing the workspace, and operating basic tools and equipment in industrial settings.
Industrial Laborer Pay : $20-25 / hr
Industrial Laborer Shift : Dependent on business needs. Monday-Friday. Part Time. Full Time. Temporary. Project Based. Weekends as needed. Field work.
Industrial Labor Responsibilities :
Assist in the installation and maintenance of heavy-duty conveyor belt systems in various industrial environments, including manufacturing plants, warehouses, and mining sites.
Support the setup and teardown of conveyor components, including rollers, pulleys, motors, and belt tensioners.
Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery, including wrenches, drills, cutting tools, and hoisting devices.
Measure, cut, and splice conveyor belts based on project specifications.
Prepare job sites by clearing obstacles, laying down materials, and ensuring safety protocols are in place.
Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your team.
Assist in inspecting conveyor systems for wear and damage, and assist in repairs as necessary.
Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites, sometimes requiring heavy lifting.
Collaborate with the installation team to meet project deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Installation Supervisor.
Industrial Labor Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
Previous experience in mechanical installation or heavy conveyor belts is a plus but not required.
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 100 lbs).
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Willingness to work in physically demanding and sometimes hazardous environments (heights, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions).
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and travel to job sites as needed.
18 years of age.
Industrial Labor Working Conditions :
Work may involve exposure to high noise levels, dust, heavy machinery, and other industrial hazards.
Must be comfortable working in tight spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
May require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
