Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Labor position with a Heavy Industrial Conveyor Belt Company located in Eugene, OR. The successful candidate will be open to a schedule that is dependent on business needs.
Laborer Pay : $20-25 / hr
Laborer Shift : Dependent on business needs. Part-time to full-time, temporary.
Labor Responsibilities :
Assist in the installation and maintenance of heavy-duty conveyor belt systems in outdoor environments.
Support the setup and teardown of conveyor belts.
Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery, including wrenches, drills, cutting tools, and hoisting devices.
Measure and cut materials.
Prepare job sites by clearing obstacles, laying down materials, and ensuring safety protocols are in place.
Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your team.
Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites, sometimes requiring heavy lifting (25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally).
Collaborate with the installation team to meet project deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Installation Supervisor.
Labor Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
Previous experience in mechanical installation or heavy conveyor belts is a plus but not required.
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 100 lbs).
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Willingness to work in physically demanding and sometimes hazardous environments (heights, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions).
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Flexible schedule. Work could consist of 1 to 6 days a week.
18 years of age.
Ability to submit to a background check and drug screening.
Labor Working Conditions :
Work may involve exposure to high noise levels, dust, heavy machinery, and other industrial hazards.
Must be comfortable working in tight spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
May require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
