Maddens is currently seeking Seasonal Landscape Project Assistant's. This position will perform various excavations, construction and miscellaneous projects on resort grounds.
- Operates Cat end-loader/backhoe and John Deere skid steer.
- Operates GMC dump truck.
- Operates miscellaneous tractors, utility vehicles and mowers.
- Complete projects on the golf courses and resort grounds at the direction of Assistant Superintendent.
- Assist Resort Grounds Assistant with installation and removal of designated docks.
- Assist golf course and resort crews as needed.
- Perform tree removal and cut up firewood as necessary.
- Pick up and haul sand, mulch, soil, rock etc. with dump truck.
- Make repairs to asphalt roads, parking lots and cart paths as directed by the Assistant Superintendent.
- Unload freight deliveries with Cat and forks as necessary.
- Complete daily chores as assigned on job board.
- Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas.
- Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Superintendent or the Assistant Superintendent.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Understands and adheres to Maddens Smoking and Tobacco Products policy.
- Attend training and staff meetings.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:
Golf Course knowledge is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Work is performed mainly outside on golf courses or in a maintenance shop.
Physical Demands:
Primarily walking or standing for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50-pound boxes and sometimes up to 100 pounds.
Travel:
Less than 10% travel required.
