Maddens is currently seeking Seasonal Golf Course Maintenace Team Members. These positions will assist in performing a diverse range of golf course maintenance duties.
- Performs general golf course maintenance using handheld equipment.
- Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
- Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.
- Prepare soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
- Involved with tasks related to course detail (weed and debris clean up).
- Operate walking equipment in mowing greens collars and tees.
- Assists with golf course set-up procedures.
- Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris.
- Operates riding equipment in mowing fairways, approaches and rough.
- Performs skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.).
- Operates sod cutter, trencher and tamper for routine projects.
- Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas.
- Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Assistant Superintendent.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Attending staff meetings.
- Regular and Reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.

- Communications skills should be at a level where employees can converse with guests and other employees.

Education/Experience:
Golf Course knowledge is preferred but not required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Work is performed mainly outside on golf courses.
Physical Demands:
Primarily walking or standing for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50-pound boxes and sometimes up to 100 pounds.
Travel:
Less than 10% travel required.
