Maddens is currently seeking the position of Waitstaff for our 2025 season. This position serves guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional and courteous manner for restaurant and banquet operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
- Describe specials of the day to the guests. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offer suggestions of menu items when appropriate.
- Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food to guests promptly after preparation.
- Follows-up with guest, within 2 minutes, to ensure satisfaction. Replenishes items as needed.
- Begins to clear and reset tables within 4 minutes of guest leaving.
- Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
- Maintains organized workstation and side work duties.
- Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
- Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
- Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques.
- Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in multiple outlets and facilities.
Physical Demands:
Primarily stationary such as sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pound boxes and items sometimes repeatedly.
Expected Hours of Work:
Varying shifts including nights, weekends, weekdays - Breakfast, lunch & dinner shifts.
Travel:
Less than 10% travel required.
