THIRD PARTY LOGISTICS MANAGER
The Third-Party Logistics Manager will oversee the administration, integration, maintenance, and optimization of the third-party provider used for Made by Gather’s retail distribution.

The ideal candidate comes from the retail/ wholesale industry and has a deep understanding of retail distribution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Third-Party Provider Management: Oversee contracts, relationships, daily operations, and cost optimization with third-party providers, ensuring SLA compliance and performance.
- Inventory Oversight: Audit inventory levels in collaboration with warehouse/distribution centers and partners, recommending improvements as needed.
- Strategic Planning: Partner with the Chief Supply Chain Officer to develop and execute the distribution system roadmap.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of 2 direct reports and oversee all order processing, including dropship coordination.
- Contract Negotiations: Optimize cost savings through annual contract rate negotiations with providers.
- Compliance & Issue Resolution: Address compliance issues, chargebacks, infractions, and payments with 3PL partners, working with internal teams as needed.
- Performance & Analytics: Analyze supplier and 3PL performance metrics, driving continuous improvement and cost reduction through quarterly reviews.
- Inventory Reconciliation: Ensure accurate monthly inventory reconciliation in partnership with Finance and third-party providers.
- Space & Logistics Planning: Manage container schedules, delivery timing, and space planning needs using demand planning data, liaising with supply planning, freight forwarders, and distribution centers.
- Sample & Merchandise Management: Oversee the inventory of samples, displays, and props in designated locations.
- Damage Mitigation: Collaborate with inbound logistics to minimize damages and ensure reconciliations remain within thresholds.
- Process Optimization: Implement best practices and SOPs to streamline onboarding and ensure seamless operations.
- Special Projects: Support Sales Operations in managing quotes, negotiating timelines, and executing special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in a managerial role that successfully oversees retail distribution in a high growth company.
- Strong collaborative background, working closely with direct team, provider, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent strategic planning with strong project management and problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to align distribution initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Deep understanding of direct-to-consumer business needs
- General understanding of EDI interface between retailers, supplier and provider
- General knowledge and understanding of retailer compliance requirements
