Position Responsibilities
- Merchandising Strategy
- Assign merchandise categories and vendors to Buyers
- Product purchasing responsibilities
- Merchandising of stores and website
- Recommendation for visual merchandising
- Vendor Management
- Review of vendor and category performance and initiate action plans
- Product purchasing responsibilities
- Team Management
- Oversee a team of Buyers
- Advise on Buyer performance
- Setting performance goals
- Provide coaching and training
- Assign Vendors
- Reorganize responsibilities as needed
- Administrative
- Monthly reporting to MIO owner
- Advise on merchandising strategies and store visual merchandising
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline
- Four (4) years experience as a successful merchandise Buyer with increased buying responsibility over time; 5-10 years of demonstrated increasing buying responsibility
- Experience managing at least one (1) Buyer
- Attention to detail and organization while multi-tasking
- Reporting and analytics
- Written and verbal communication skills
