JOB DESCRIPTION – STORE MANAGERS
As a Made in Oregon Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the assigned store location. You will lead a team of employees to achieve sales goals, maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, and ensure smooth store operations. This is a great role for someone who absolutely loves Oregon as much as we do!
You must be over 18 years of age for this position, as we sell wine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
- Ensure the store is clean, well-organized, and stocked with appropriate levels of inventory.
- Recruit, train, and manage store staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Motivate and lead the team to achieve sales and service goals.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders as needed.
- Implement loss prevention measures to minimize shrinkage.
- Ensure that store displays are attractive and effectively showcase products.
- Coordinate with the visual merchandising team to create visually appealing store layouts.
- Ensure that the store complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment for both customers and employees.
- Work closely with Store Team to ensure proper shift hand-off; communicate any issues or concerns
- Participate in training sessions as needed
Knowledge and experience
- 2 years of Retail Store Management
- Attention to detail and organization while multi-tasking
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Time management
- Problem solving
- Bi-lingual a plus
Physical Requirements:
- The associate must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- The associate must frequently stand for long periods of time.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach, twist or squat.
- Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom and office areas.
- Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
