Position Summary :
The Clinical Coordinator is a designated Clinical Specialist of the department responsible for coordinating, implementing and supervising the delivery of patient care. Directly and indirectly supervises all licensed nursing and / or hospital certified personnel performing nursing care. Coordinates and collaborates care delivery with other licensed providers, physicians and clinical specialists within the department. Reports to and is directly responsible to the Clinical Manager of Critical Care Services. Consults with and coordinates care under the direction of the Critical Care Director.
The Clinical Coordinator has demonstrated advanced levels of clinical skills and knowledge appropriate to the services provided within the department. Will utilize proficient leadership and communication skills.
The Clinical Coordinator will serve as the department clinical expert responsible for mentoring, training and coordinating care and shall assist the Manager in the management of operation. As the incumbent is clinically diverse will support the management team, assist in training and supervision of staff.
Qualifications :
Requires completion of Registered Nurse program, prefer BSN or MSN. Minimum five (5) years recent medical / surgical nursing or critical care experience, including 1 year of supervisory experience. National certification in critical care nursing experience and / or graduate of a clinical nursing specialty program appropriate to the area of practice required.
Requires Current State of California Registered Nurse Licensure, with Current AHA approved BLS and ACLS certification.
National certification in critical care nursing preferred.
