Position Summary :
Under the direction of the Clinical Director of Diagnostic Imaging, Radiologist(s) / Medical Director, and / or the Chief Technologist, the Mammography Coordinator will be directly responsible for all the functions of the mammography service. The mammography coordinator will perform routine mammograms, needle localization, biopsies and ductograms. The Mammography Coordinator may be directed to perform routine and fluoroscopic procedures within the department as required.
Qualifications :
Requires completion of an A.M.A. approved course of training in Radiologic Technology. Requires two to five years of experience performing mammography diagnostic procedures, including progressive responsibility within the department. Prefer previous mammography coordinator experience. Must be able to demonstrate mammography competencies.
Requires Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist License (CRT), Current CRT in Mammography, and Current American Heart Association BCLS certificate.
