Additionally, the Vehicle Purchaser will oversee the reconditioning process, ensuring that all vehicles are prepared for sale and meet our dealership's high standards, from purchase to the front line.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Research and identify potential vehicle purchases from private parties and auction sources.
- Evaluate the condition, value, and potential resale opportunities of used vehicles.
- Negotiate purchase prices and terms with sellers to acquire vehicles at competitive rates.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, vehicle values, and industry best practices.
- Oversee the reconditioning process for all purchased vehicles, coordinating with service teams to ensure timely and efficient preparation for sale.
- Build and maintain relationships with auction houses, private sellers, and other industry contacts.
- Ensure all purchased vehicles meet our dealership standards and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align purchasing and reconditioning strategies with sales goals.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in vehicle purchasing and reconditioning, preferably in a dealership setting.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
