VICE PRINCIPAL
Overall Responsibilities
Support the principal in the overall administration of the school site as ascribed by federal and state laws, district policies and regulations.
Specific Responsibilities
1.Coordinate all services within the assigned academic team(s)/school including: curriculum, scheduling, counseling and guidance, testing, records, discipline, and staff evaluation.
2.Collect, analyze and disseminate student achievement data.
3.Oversee management of the assigned curriculum areas.
4.Supervise the curriculum and instructional programs as assigned.
5.Maintain and monitor budgets for assigned curriculum areas.
6.Design and administer in-service programs for the professional development of the instructional personnel.
7.Supervise extra-curricular activities.
8.Substitute for the principal in his/her absence.
9.Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Specific knowledge of:
1.Counseling, guidance, academic, and career education programs.
2.Required coursed meeting state curriculum guidelines.
3.Facilitate meetings.
4.Contribute to the successful fulfillment of the District Mission.
5.Conduct responsibilities of the position based on information and instructions provided in English.
6.Learn an appropriately apply district policies, procedures, and other regulations related to the position.
7.Maintain appropriate confidentiality about the status of students, staff, and school activities.
8.Resolve conflict in a manner that promotes goodwill toward the staff, the school, and the District.
9.Work cooperatively with others.
10.Operate computer, and data entry terminals.
11.Learn and apply current technology to assigned tasks.

Education:
1.Graduate level training in educational administration and supervision.
2.Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
1.One year in management of a significant project or department.
2.Three years experience as a classroom teacher/support/resource teacher or counselor.
License:
1.Valid California Administrative Services Credential.
2.Valid California Driver’s License.
