Role and Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Digital Marketing to join the Madewell brand. In this role, you will oversee the strategic direction of our digital marketing touchpoints that include Email, SMS, Paid Social, Paid Seach and Affiliate. You will own developing a testing roadmap to understand the most incremental ways of allocating performance marketing budgets. You will develop relationships with internal and external partners and agencies and ensure they have clear direction in the strategy for the business.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Marketing Strategy:
- Lead and manage the strategy, development, and execution of performance marketing campaigns across paid search, paid social, affiliate and other digital channels
- Develop test and learn roadmap across performance channels and see through execution and analysis in partnership with agency, platforms and data teams.
- Analyze and triangulate channel trends and channel impacts by looking at multiple forms of data outputs such as Google Analytics, MMM models and platform data to understand marketing effectiveness and optimize budgets accordingly.
- Develop and deliver a strategy that focuses on incremental omni demand and profitable customer acquisition.
- Build bottoms up marketing budgets and financial goals to align with planning and KPIs to drive the business and callout risks/opportunities
- Develop and manage budgets for all marketing channels
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing performance marketing team
- Work cross functionally with Marketing, Data Analytics, Finance and Tech
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in digital marketing with at least 5 years in performance marketing roles
- On site 3 days a week
- Proven track record developing and managing successful loyalty programs in retail environments
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive marketing decisions
- Experience with MMM or attribution models and how to read and react to results
- Experience managing significant marketing budgets and demonstrating positive and profitable return
- Knowledge of marketing automation, CRM platforms, and loyalty program technologies
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
