The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, specifying, acquiring, and launching processes and equipment to ensure compliance with all company and regulatory requirements and specifications. This position will provide on-going support for problem resolution of product and process concerns as well as new product development initiatives. The manufacturing engineer's responsibilities include identifying areas for improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, designing new products and processes, as well as ensuring cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and systems to optimize efficiency and productivity
- Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimization
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and assembly drawings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of quality issues
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce manufacturing costs
- Oversee the selection, installation, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment and technologies.
- Support new product development by providing input on design for manufacturability and process validation
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the reliability and accuracy of data loggers.
- Oversee the assembly of prototypes for new products
- Train and mentor production staff on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and adjust processes accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment. Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies, is a plus
- Experience using CAD/CAM, data analysis programs, and related software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
