Patient Financial Assistance Representative
Patient Access Department - Financial Aid Department
Position Overview
We are seeking a Patient Financial Assistance Representative to join our Financial Aid Department. This role focuses on processing Charity Care Applications and verifying patient information. The position includes future training opportunities for handling Medicaid and Healthcare Marketplace applications.
Location & Schedule
Full-time, on-site position
Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Competitive hourly rate : $22-24 / hour
Essential Responsibilities
Process Charity Care Applications accurately and efficiently
Review and verify patient financial documentation
Enter and maintain patient information in hospital database systems
Verify employment, income, and other required documentation
Track and monitor application status
Communicate with patients regarding missing documentation or additional information needed
Maintain organized records of all applications and supporting documents
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Generate reports on application status and outcomes
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper processing of applications
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy
Experience with database management and record keeping
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy in data entry
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to review and verify documentation thoroughly
Professional communication abilities
Basic understanding of financial documents and terminology
Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy
