What are the responsibilities and job description for the GYMNASTICS ASST INSTRUCTOR position at Madison Area YMCA?
The Madison Area YMCA is seeking an Assistant Gymnastics Instructor who will assist with instructing youth classes in a fun, safe and enjoyable environment that promotes sportsmanship in a positive environment. Additionally, the applicant will assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe facility as directed, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals. All classes are held in the gymnastics center, which includes a spring floor, Tumble Trak, pits, vaults, bars, beams, and much more!
The tentative schedule is as follows:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 4pm-5:30pm
- Saturday: 9:45am-11:15am
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required certifications: CPR and AED, will train.
- Obtain replacement when unable to teach.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
- Communicate to Supervisor any issues and concerns of staff or members and/or direct members to the appropriate supervisor(s) when needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position; including assisting class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency. Able to assist in administering first aid.
- Potential exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids is possible.
