Job Title: The Stone Pony Venue Marketing Coordinator

Work Status: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: The Stone Pony is seeking a Venue Marketing Coordinator who is passionate about music and marketing. Works well in a collaborative, fast paced environment and want to learn more about all aspects of live event marketing. Must have a keen attention to detail, and adept at balancing multiple projects at the same time. Excellent communicator and relationship builder and develop and maintain strong professional relationships with all stakeholders.

REPORTING: Reports to General Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for Venue social media for The Stone Pony and Stone Pony Summer Stage.
• Develop Marketing plans for shows and events as needed.
• Track marketing expenses and update plans including coding and processing invoices.
• Participate in venue and property marketing calls.
• Coordinate marketing efforts with venue management and promoters.
• Work with management to improve and update venue websites.
• Create and propagate unique Asbury Park specific content including but limited to articles, reviews, profiles, interviews, etc.
• Conceive and develop street team, giveaway and contest components of show and event marketing.
• Execute select components of marketing plans including accurate, timely creation with necessary approval and production of all marketing assets including show posters, press releases and other advertising artwork as needed
• Track ticket sales against projections and measure effectiveness of marketing efforts for consideration for future marketing plans
• Coordinate local marketing efforts, including venue participation in multi-venue show campaigns
• Assist with selection and securing approval of local support acts as needed. Coordinate marketing and promotional responsibilities of local support.
• Serve as Venue Ambassador to ensure band enjoyment of venues and Asbury Park
• Promote and represent venues in Asbury Park music scene
• Develop relationships with other local industry participants
• Work with local promoters to facilitate local shows
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge of emerging trends in marketing industry
• Research audience and artist demographic info to help shape marketing plans
• Day of show event coverage as necessary
• Assist in additional duties as needed

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
• 1-3 years of prior experience in marketing of entertainment venues with extensive music knowledge
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently
• Positive attitude, self-motivation and a smile is required
• Strong Computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekend, and holidays

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
