Shady Cove Marina and Resort Restaurant is seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. Located on the beautiful shores of Castalian Springs, TN, our restaurant offers a unique dining experience featuring fresh, locally inspired cuisine in a relaxed, scenic environment. The Line Cook will play a key role in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen, and contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure food is cooked to order, meeting timing and temperature standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory, restocking, and proper storage of food supplies.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Adapt to menu changes and special requests as directed by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant setting (1-2 years preferred).
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification a plus).
- Passion for delivering high-quality food and a great dining experience.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with grill, sauté, or fry stations.
- Understanding of Southern cuisine or marina-style dining is a bonus.
- Ability to handle a high volume of orders with consistency and efficiency.
