Go Store It - Self Storage is a privately held, entrepreneurial self-storage development, acquisition, property, and asset management company. Since our inception in 2013, our focus has been on investments in major and secondary markets across the United States that offer significant cash flow, revenue growth, and long-term capital appreciation opportunities. With over 153 locations across 23 states, and a robust pipeline, we are adding a Property Accountant to our team!
The Property Accountant performs daily accounting activities for a portfolio of self-storage real estate properties and related legal entities; and delivers accurate results in accordance with required timelines for month-end close and internal and external reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor/analyze GL accounts, adjust journal entries as needed
- Prepare/record journal entries for revenues, banking activity, monthly accruals and other property activity
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Prepare/maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts
- Track required payments and ensure items are paid timely; i.e. taxes, insurance, debt service, distributions
- May include various aspects of accounts payable
- Assist with preparation of supporting materials for audit and tax return process, etc
- Assist with recording of property-related transactions such as purchase/sale or refinancing
- Assist in other projects as needed

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Intermediate to advanced Excel required
- Yardi Voyager software experience required
- Experience performing and prioritizing multiple overlapping tasks
