- Use a customized computer system to stock, monitor, and maintain inventory
- Research parts for purchasing; find alternative vendors when necessary
- File warranty claims. Obtain, inspect, and return parts. Collaborate with Finance unit
- Issue parts based on maintenance work orders
- Generate reports to track and analyze inventory
- Use electronic purchase ordering system to process parts orders
- Reconcile purchasing card and purchase order charges monthly
- Manage all incoming and outgoing freight using loading dock, pallet jacks, forklift, packing materials as necessary
- Electronically receive bulk fluids such as fuel, oil, etc.
- Aid mechanics in determining correct parts and address diagnostic questions regarding bus histories
- Keep updated facility status sheet regarding parts
- Maintain orderly stockroom
- Two (2) years of experience with the following:
- Heavy truck, automotive, agricultural, construction, or similar heavy motorized equipment field
- Computerized inventory and reporting systems
- Associate's Degree in a related heavy equipment or automotive field can be substituted for one (1) year of experience.
