License : Licensed Practical Nurse issued by Ohio Board of Nursing pursuant to Section 4723 Ohio Revised Code

Certifications : CPR Certification

Must-Have :

Knowledge of skilled licensed practical nursing procedures
Understanding of pharmacology and client / patient care
First-aid and CPR skills
Familiarity with general hospital practices and procedures
Understanding HIPAA regulations and standards
Ability to operate medical equipment and perform nursing tasks

Job Description :

Administer nursing care within the scope of practice under the direction of authorized healthcare professionals.

Perform tasks such as administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, and inserting catheters.

Assist with physical exams, treatments, and laboratory tests as required.

Respond to emergencies by administering first-aid, performing CPR, and handling patient restraints.

Administer controlled and non-controlled medications, and provide medication instructions to patients.

Maintain medication accountability records, including charting patient records and maintaining stock of medical supplies.

Observe, document, and report patient conditions, including medication reactions and treatment responses.

Provide general nursing and direct care assistance, including taking vital signs and helping with personal grooming and hygiene.

Support lower-level direct care staff with training and guidance.

Participate in meetings such as staff conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.

Order medication and medical supplies, and perform clerical tasks like answering phones and filing.
