What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Cycle Manager position at Madison County Health Care System?
Manages operations and assumes accountability for the overall performance of the Revenue Cycle throughout the organization, including functions performed by the Patient Accounts and Health Information Management departments. Responsible for accuracy of the charge description master to ensure regulatory and reimbursement compliance. Works with departments to enhance the efficiency of the revenue cycle process, the charge capture process, denials management and reimbursement issues. Promotes positive interpersonal relations and demonstrates a commitment to teamwork and customer service.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management related field preferred, Associates degree required.
Licensure/certification: Successful completion of Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) certification required within one year of employment.
Previous Work Experience: At least two years previous Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic billing required. Proficiency in use of 10-key calculator, Microsoft Excel and Word required.
Full Time Exempt Position – 80 hours per pay period
