Job Description
This position REQUIRES a Florida Security D license as well as a Florida Security G license
Maintain safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by patrolling and monitoring the premises.
I. Job Responsibilities
- Secure premises and patients, visitors, and staff by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
- Respond to emergency situations to provide necessary assistance to staff and customers
- Confronts unauthorized persons for questioning, routes or detains them, or telephones police for assistance, according to circumstances
- Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all patients, staff, visitors, and the premises
- Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed
- Escorts staff to and from parking lots as requested
- Obtain help by sounding alarms
- Report suspicious activity, criminal behavior, and security breaches
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers
- Control traffic by directing drivers when necessary (ie, life flight; vaccination station)
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures
- Maintain organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
- Provide excellent customer service
- Assist staff and visitors with concerns they may have
- Adhere to all company service and operating standards
- Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
- Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, patrolling premises regularly, traffic control, and accident investigations
Qualifications
- Licensed in the State of Florida This position REQUIRES a Florida Security D license as well as a Florida Security G license
- Previous security related work experience required
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of basic security techniques
- Outstanding surveillance skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding judgement, objectivity, dependability, emotional control, and integrity
- Ability to remain calm and respond quickly in stressful situations
