This position provides partial benefits including partial earned Annual and Sick Leave
Qualifications:
High School or Equivalent is preferred
CDL with (P) Passenger and (S) School Bus endorsements is required
Must have strong communication skills in dealing with students and parents
Must possess leadership skills to maintain discipline on the bus
Must be dependable and punctual
Job Description:
Responsible for safely transporting students to and from school
Responsible for safety pre-checks, reporting malfunctions, handling vehicle breakdowns and maintaining a clean and safe environment for students.
Responsible for following school district procedures while driving assigned bus routes
Responsible for following a route (set by Transportation Director) that ensures a routine providing students and parents with a consistent and daily pick up/drop off schedule.
Responsible for students' behavior while on the bus and take suitable action to resolve incidents between/among students should incidents occur.
Responsible for reporting in appropriate behavior to school authorities as soon as possible
Responsible for knowing NC driving laws and regulations including safe bus operations

Superintendent, Transportation Director, Principal, or designee
