Overview:
The Associate/Assistant Vice President (AVP) will support the Fixed Income / Bonds Desk by assisting in bond portfolio management, conducting quantitative research, and monitoring market trends. This role involves partnering with portfolio managers, executing bond transactions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The incumbent will contribute to investment research, risk management, and special projects while helping to meet financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Bond Portfolio Management:
- Assist the Bond Desk Head in managing bond portfolios and monitoring market movements.
- Track portfolio performance, including market value, duration, and credit ratings.
- Research new investment opportunities for portfolio consideration.
- Develop and enhance quantitative models for fixed-income analysis.
Trading & Business Operations:
- Execute bond transactions in compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
- Complete all necessary documentation and reporting related to transactions.
- Serve as a backup for designated team members as needed.
Market Research & Special Projects:
- Analyze economic, market, and industry factors impacting fixed income investments.
- Provide insights to support portfolio strategy and investment decisions.
- Participate in strategic initiatives, special projects, and other assigned tasks.
